Keeping the areas around your home in good condition
Enjoying the outside spaces of where you live is a huge part of feeling connected to your community and having pride in your home.
A part of helping this to happen is the grounds maintenance you receive, which includes grass in shared spaces being cut regularly, the maintenance of hedges, shrubs and hard surfaces, and litter being picked up. As well as making sure the area around your home looks appealing, grounds maintenance is an important part of keeping you safe.
Customers in Devon and Cornwall have recently had new companies start doing maintenance to the grounds around their home, as of 1 April 2023.
We went through a tendering process to decide on the best companies to take on this work, which includes looking at the quality of service they will provide and value for money for customers.
A group of customers were involved in this, helping to evaluate the different contractors. They were part of the interview panel, meaning customers were at the heart of decision making.
Keep us posted on the grounds maintenance in your area
If you would like to give feedback on the quality of the grounds maintenance you receive, you can sign up to be an Estate Service Champion.
Estate Service Champions take part in a short five minute survey each month which reviews the quality of grounds maintenance and communal cleaning they have received. The feedback is used to make improvements where they are needed, so it really does have a positive impact.
