Visiting your home for repairs and appointments
Providing access to your home for appointments helps to keep you and your home safe and gives us the chance to complete as many repairs as possible for our customers.
It is really important to allow us access when you have a repairs appointment. If you have an appointment with us, please remember to keep it. If you do need to cancel or amend an existing repair appointment, please contact us at your earliest convenience to let us know, including if there is anything we can do to help you keep your appointment.
Not being able to access homes to complete repairs means that appointment time goes to waste, and we have to reschedule. We have to revisit around 10,000 repairs each year due to not being able to access homes, which means it can be more difficult for customers to book appointments they need.
Some appointments are essential for us to complete, so it is important you are home for scheduled appointments to let us in. Electrical testing, gas checks and other similar jobs need to be completed within certain timescales and help to keep you safe in your home.
If you are at all concerned about letting anyone who claims to be from LiveWest into your home, please ask to see their identity card. If they do not have a card, or if you are worried, do not let them into your home. Call us and we will be happy to confirm if someone from LiveWest was due to call.
An update on high demand for repairs
We are sorry if you are having to wait longer than usual for your repairs. In January we received exceptionally high demand, and although we completed over 11,500 repairs, our demand was over 16,000, which is 11% higher than in January 2023. We are working hard to catch up on these repairs, including providing colleagues with extra support.
