New energy efficient home offers bright future for Agnieszka
We are delighted to have recently helped Agnieszka Wojciechowska and her family move into a new energy-efficient home in Yeovil.
Agnieszka and her family had lived in the area for 12 years, and needed to find somewhere bigger to move to. They found our Cherry Pie Meadow development, which she has now moved into with her two sons.
The 12 affordable homes at the development are constructed with an energy reducing building fabric, air source heat pump and solar photovoltaics which has provided a minimum SAP rating of 91, with most of the homes achieving an EPC rating of A. All homes are also fitted with charging stations for electric vehicles.
Aga said: “The people who live around the area are nice and friendly and moving in was made smooth and straightforward.
“In the summer when it’s really nice and hot outside, downstairs is really nice and cool, so it was great to come home because it is like a breath of fresh air.”
We are committed to improving the energy performance of our existing and new homes. This runs alongside our core ambition to support our customers and address fuel poverty.
We are also committed to improving the energy efficiency of our existing homes. Find out more about our commitment to delivering sustainable homes, neighbourhoods and communities.
