Safety in your home this spring

Keeping you safe is a priority for us, and we regularly share tips and advice to do this. Take a look at some of our latest safety advice below with links to the Your Safety section on our website.
Lithium batteries
Lithium batteries are very common, providing power for household items like laptops, mobile phones, electric cigarettes or vapes, vacuum cleaners and many more. Lithium batteries are generally safe, but if misused, damaged or disposed of incorrectly can cause serious fires. Find out more about lithium batteries.
Scaffolding
Sometimes we have to put scaffolding up on homes and buildings, usually to complete repairs to roofs, windows or other high places that can’t be reached safely.
Scaffolds can be very dangerous due to their height, and should only be accessed by those authorised and trained to use it.
It’s important to keep children safe around scaffolding, and report any issues you notice to us as soon as you spot them.
