We helped to spread some festive spirit across two schools in Somerset

As the countdown for Christmas continues, we are delighted to have partnered with Countryside Partnerships to donate locally sourced Christmas trees to two schools in Somerset.

Getting into the festive spirit, we joined forces with Countryside Partnerships to donate Christmas trees to young students at two Somerset schools, for decoration in the countdown to Christmas.

Polden Bower School, a specialist education school in Bridgwater, and Mark First and Pre-School CE Academy in Highbridge were the beneficiaries of the festive gifts.

Delighted to spread some Christmas cheer, Gareth Jones, Director of Development for LiveWest, said: “It is great to have joined up with our valued partners to spread some festive cheer to the local areas where we are developing much-needed affordable homes.

“Investing in our communities is important to LiveWest and we are looking forward to forging closer links in the future.”

The locally sourced Christmas trees were collected from a family-run tree farm Longford Lakes, who were delighted to select some beautiful 10ft trees for the local schools to decorate.

Local to the two schools, we are getting ready to launch two of our new developments, Strawberry Grange and Isleport Lane in the new year alongside Countryside Partnerships and Sigma Capital Group.

Across the two developments, we will see a total of 107 energy-efficient homes brought to Somerset which have benefited from grant funding from our strategic partnership with Homes England.

Darren Dancey, Managing Director of Countryside Partnerships West, said: “Along with our partners LiveWest and Sigma we’re pleased to have played a small part in spreading the festive spirit in the local area this Christmas.

“We look forward to continuing to support and build long-lasting relationships with the communities close to us in the new year.”

Niamh Waldron, ESG Director at Sigma Capital Group, added: “We are delighted to have been a part of this community activity and look forward to building relationships with both schools, and others in the local area, and supporting projects where we can in the future. Sigma and Simple Life Homes wish everyone a very happy festive season.”

At Strawberry Grange, we will see a total of 96 homes which will include 55 affordable rent, 27 shared ownership and 14 social rent homes.

Meanwhile our Isleport Lane, we will see seven rented homes and four shared ownership homes.
