Over 400 people, took part in tenth anniversary All Ways Apples festival at Devonport Guildhall during October half term. Feedback showed that visitors had a wonderful time and learnt a great deal about the many different varieties of apples grown in Plymouth.
LiveWest provided a £500 grant to help go towards the cost of running the event.
A wide range of residents attended the event including LiveWest customers and Plymouth Community Homes customers.
LiveWest colleague volunteers also helped run the event with the setup of LiveWest had a stand, where children could decorate bags and make their own apple themed bookmarks.
Housing Officer, Ian Hobbs and Community Connector, Justine Cheffers operated a smoothie-making bike and Communications Coordinator, Marie Watsham welcomed attendees on reception and gathered feedback about the event.
Justine Cheffers, LiveWest Community Connector said: ‘’We've provided £500 worth of funding to support this event today which has been used towards the cost of putting the event together. All Ways Apples brings together food networks and celebrates the harvest of apples right in the heart of Plymouth. Today has been a brilliant day! Our community partners have been able to work with customers, and we have also seen customers connecting with each other.’’
