Pete Bailey will play an instrumental role in our journey to achieve net zero after being appointed as our new Head of Asset Investment Delivery.

Having built up a wealth of experience thanks to 22 years in the social housing sector, Pete possesses an in-depth understanding of repairs, planned programmes and compliance regulatory work.

Pete’s commercial delivery experience will ensure LiveWest provides excellent customer service as we delivers our planned asset investment programmes.

He will also support our drive to make sure our homes are affordable to heat and contribute positively towards ensuring they are net carbon zero before the 2050 deadline.

Pete said: “I am someone who is committed and passionate about providing a great customer service and delivering service improvements.

“LiveWest has a great reputation as both a social landlord and as an employee.

“Within the many property/asset delivery roles I have undertaken within my career, my passion has always been delivering planned/asset strategies and this was a fantastic opportunity for me to do so.

“The values and culture of LiveWest very much match those of my own and the future ambitions of LiveWest excite me. I feel I can help LiveWest continue on its ambitious journey.

“I am very much about developing people and teams to create continuous improvement and form succession plans that provides motivation and passion to colleagues to do their best. All of this will have a positive benefit for our customers.

“I feel as a leader in the team, I have the opportunity to support people, processes and strategies, and to provide the tools, environment and platform for the Asset Investment team to succeed.”

Pete has spent the last 22 years with Sovereign, rising from Head of Property Safety, Operations Director for Property Safety and, more recently, Assistant Director of Compliance Services.

He will play a key part of our Cby28 project which is an investment of more than £50m to ensure all of our rented homes meet a minimum Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of ‘C’ by 2028 – two years ahead of the Government’s target.

Pete, a father of two, added: “My role will be to lead on the delivery of works to achieve LiveWest’s Asset Strategy – ensuring value for money, meeting targets, producing high standards of work and doing the right thing for our assets.

“It’s great to be playing our part in LiveWest achieving our Cby28 target and other decarbonisation strategies that will benefit our customers and to make LiveWest a service provider of choice for future customers.”

Glynnis Poole, Director of Investment and Sustainability at LiveWest, said: “It is great to welcome Pete into our Asset Investment Delivery team which is undertaking a huge programme of change as we get our properties ready to be net zero by 2050.

“Pete brings huge experience to the team and will help deliver our ambitious programme of planned works and retrofit projects.”
