A new development has been launched which will bring 737 much-needed homes to Exeter.
The largest housing association in the South West, LiveWest, and regeneration specialists, Vistry Partnerships, have partnered to redevelop the Haldon Reach site at Alphington.
The partnership was marked with the opening of brand-new show home and sales centre for homebuyers to visit and discover the homes.
There will be a mixture of open market, shared ownership and affordable rent homes.
With the city of Exeter on the doorstep, the show home and sales centre take in breathtaking views across the city.
Russell Baldwinson, Executive Director of Development for LiveWest, said: “LiveWest is continually looking at ways of providing new affordable homes for families in housing need who aren’t able to afford to purchase a home.
“Our involvement in this project will not only mean we provide the affordable homes that would have come forward through planning, but also additional affordable housing which we are funding ourselves supported by Homes England funding.
“Being involved in commercial ventures such as this also enables us to generate returns which we also reinvest to deliver further affordable housing across the South West.
“Working with Vistry Partnerships, we have had a common goal of creating a high-quality new housing development which will provide our customers with a great place to live.”
Peter Sadler, Managing Director for Vistry Partnerships South West, said: “We are delighted to be working with our long-standing partners, LiveWest on this exciting new housing development in Exeter.
“Haldon Reach will see the creation of a fantastic new community with a range of mixed tenure homes, giving local people a genuine opportunity to live here. Not only will this new development see the creation of new homes, but it will also boast a brand-new school with impressive playing fields and facilities that the whole community can benefit from.”
LiveWest and Vistry Partnerships have joined forces on a number of developments which will see more than 2,000 homes built over the South West.
