We provide a range of accessibility services through our website, email and telephone services, to make our communications inclusive for everyone.
Our Recite Me toolbar offers several tools to help you read our website, and can also be used to listen to and translate our website. To open the Recite Me toolbar, click on the circle button which will appear in the bottom right of your screen when on our website. This will open the toolbar.
To hear text read out loud, open the Recite Me toolbar and select the second icon in the toolbar. Hover your mouse over any text to hear it read out loud. From a touchscreen device you will need to click on the text to hear it.
Within the Recite Me toolbar, we also offer screen mask and simplify page features. To try it out, open the Recite Me toolbar then select either the 'screen mask' or 'simplify page' options from the toolbar.
The size of the text our webpages can be increased using the enlarge text tool in the Recite Me toolbar. To try it out, open the Recite Me toolbar and select ‘increase font size’.
For our customers, we also offer large print copies of letters. Our customers can contact us and request this. We will be happy to help.
We also offer translation services. To translate text on our website, open the Recite Ne toolbar and select 'change language', then select your preferred language.
For our customers, we are also able to translate letters or leaflets in over 170 different languages. Customers can request our translation service when calling through to our customer service department, or by speaking to their Income Officer or Housing Officer.
For our customers who use sign language, we offer a Video Relay Service. To use this service, please click on the Accessibility menu in the top right of the website, select 'SignVideo Call', enter your postcode and then you will be connected.
Our customers can contact us and let us know if they would like to receive communications in another format. We will be happy to help.
