Fences were painted, benches were repaired and planters were fixed to bring the garden back to life. Volunteers also weeded the garden ready for the children’s return to the new school year at Pucklechurch Primary School.
The location was chosen as the school is part of the Pucklechurch community where we are building new homes with their contractors United Living.
Our staff plan to continue working with the school to ensure the garden reaches completion.
The school garden project is part of our investment in the community and there are further neighbourhood events in the pipeline.

“This was a way of bringing some of our teams together to support some of the many projects and initiatives which are making a real difference in the areas where we work.
“It was great to see so many volunteers mucking in to help improve a reflective garden at a primary school which is at the heart of the community.”
Pucklechurch Primary School headteacher Alex Capel said: “What an impressive and well-organised group who worked tirelessly to improve our reflection garden.
“They went out of the way to accommodate our wishes and improved our reflection area in such a short time. We are really grateful for the professionalism and desire to achieve our end goal and really can’t thank them enough!

“We had a brilliant day working with our partners at LiveWest to bring the school’s garden back to life and are so pleased that this garden is now going to be used again by the children to support their learning and development.
“Thankfully the sun shone all day and the materials provided by PPG Architectural Coatings, Tredomen Ltd and Robert Price enabled us to undertake this project so we are extremely grateful to them as well. We’re looking forward to following this project up to see what the children have planted.”
