The Bideford Work Hub helps job seekers become job ready and find employment.
Alison Knight, LiveWest Community Connector said: “I am delighted to see the Bideford Work Hub being recognised for the great service it offers to LiveWest customers and other locals in Bideford. This project was set up thanks to funding from LiveWest to provide a supportive environment for job seekers. Since its start, we have supported 16 people to find work, and many have started courses, training or accessed funding.”
Iain Harris, Work Hub Coordinator said: ‘’We are a friendly, people-centered drop in work hub. We are here to help job seekers at all levels and remove any barriers to work. We have helped so many people with producing professional CVs, supported them with job applications, conducted mock interviews, as well as signposting people to community organisations. Helping customers to find jobs through the hub makes it all worthwhile and it is lovely to receive chocolates and cards from delighted customers.’’
The Bideford Work Hub takes place every Wednesday from 10am to 1pm at Bideford Library.
