It was a huge achievement to be shortlisted in the Best Complaints Management Team category in the largest and longest-running awards in the customer contact industry.

Television presenter Fiona Bruce hosted the glitzy awards ceremony in London, which included companies from across 19 countries.

Customer Services Team Leader Deborah Walker helped put our award submission together and expressed delight at making it through to the final.

She said: “Although we were unsuccessful on this occasion we were extremely proud about what we have achieved as an organisation.

“We have come a long way with how we handled complaints and we are getting better and better.”

LiveWest entered the awards back in July after providing evidence of our purpose and objectives, our companies’ framework and details of the initiatives we have implemented.

The final stage of the judging process saw LiveWest representatives travel to London to present their award submission to a panel of five judges.

Deborah Walker added: “The judges were very friendly and we were instantly made to feel welcome.

“Our presentation lasted exactly 20 minutes although we had to answer some tough questions we felt positive with our efforts.

“During the presentation, we outlined the key reasons why we believed our nomination should win.

“The judges informed us that this particular category was one of the hardest and that to make the finals was an achievement due to the number of applications they had received.”

Nissan was named the Gold Winner, with Tesco Bank scooping the Silver Winner and The Guinness Partnership winning the Bronze Award.
