After one of our customers noticed some hedgehog activity in our community, we created a safe place for our wildlife friends in the area.
New wildlife homes have been created for hedgehogs at our estate in Truro to help our local wildlife with warm and safe habitats.
At LiveWest, we take pride in helping the environment and supporting the local wildlife in our communities.
We have partnered with Glendale for one of our projects to encourage increased bio-diversity in the area at Vivian Court, Truro.
Mel Southerden, an Estate Services Administrator for LiveWest, said: “We have been carrying out works to improve one of our schemes with our contractor Glendale, and a customer told us about some hedgehog activity at the site.
"To encourage the hedgehogs to safely return and nest, we decided to install a new hedgehog home.
“Our Estate Services team have invested in the new hedgehog home and our fingers are crossed for the hedgehogs to return back to the green area.
“The hedgehog house looks great. At LiveWest, we are pleased to provide a home for everyone.”
Through the support of our Estate Services team, the new area will allow for more hedgehogs to safely find a place to call home and nest.
We will be refreshing some planted areas and will be looking to introduce more flowering ground-cover plants in the future.
