Safely heating your home

Keeping the temperature of your living room between 18C and 21C (between 16C and 20C for babies' rooms) is important for you and your family’s health and wellbeing, and helps reduce condensation

We strongly advise against using alternative sources of heating, like paraffin or portable gas heaters, to heat your home, as these can be extremely dangerous, and cause condensation and mould. Find out more about safe heating methods in this article.

Vulnerable customers can join their priority service register for help heating their home in emergencies and power cuts.
