To dispose of food waste, you should:

• Use food waste recycling bins provided by your local council.
• Ensuring that food waste is placed in biodegradable bags or wrapped in newspaper.  
• Ensure the food waste is safely stored with the lid closed on the bin. Pests can be attracted to food waste so make sure any food waste is properly stored if you are awaiting a collection. 
• You can also set up your own garden compost bin.
