We're launching our kindness competition to celebrate those incredible people who are supporting others.
The wellbeing of our communities is a priority and LiveWest is looking for extraordinary acts of kindness shown to highlight how important this is.
The organisation is looking for those people who have gone above and beyond to help someone, a group or perhaps an organisation, in its time of need.
After the success of our Community Stars awards, which celebrated unsung heroes started in the pandemic, it would like to carry on awarding those whose dedication and hard work has made a situation better for someone else and bought a smile to their face.
It could be that their act of kindness has improved the wellbeing of a community, this person could be doing some shopping regularly for an unwell neighbour, or it could be calling on a lonely person for a chat or supporting someone physically or mentally with their wellbeing.
The kindness campaign will run across the national Random Act of Kindness Week, taking place from February 14 until 20, recognising those who have brightened someone’s day.
The Kindness Competition is open for anyone from the public or a customer or colleague to nominate a LiveWest customer. We will be awarding three winners each with a £25 Love2Shop voucher.
Customers and colleagues can nominate an act of kindness through the form on the website or on LiveWest’s Facebook page and tell the company why you or someone else deserves the award.
Leanda Flower, our Community Investment Manager, said: “We’re passionate about the efforts people have made to support our communities and we would like to recognise those people who deserve to be praised for all their hard work.
“It’s truly inspiring to hear of the countless people who have made a positive difference to so many people and bringing a smile to a stranger.
“We were so impressed with how well-received our Community Stars were so we thought this would be a lovely way to start the year and show there is so much community spirit in the South West.
“There are so many people that deserve recognition especially over the past two years where times have been challenging. We would like to hear more of these stories and encourage people to apply and nominate their champion of kindness.”
