We are supporting Mental Health First Aid England’s My Whole Self Campaign

We are empowering our colleagues to bring their ‘whole self’ to work.
We're supporting the campaign for workplace culture change

At LiveWest, our colleagues’ health and wellbeing is important to us.

As we return to our offices, we are continuing to support our colleagues with their wellbeing. To help provide this support, 34 of our colleagues from across the business have recently qualified as Mental Health First Aiders.

This recognised workplace qualification is intended to increase mental health knowledge and confidence and give people the skills to recognise signs of mental ill health at work and promote early intervention which enables recovery.

Mental health issues are common, with one person in every four experiencing some form of mental health issue in the course of a year. However, there continues to be a stigma associated with mental health, which may lead people to hide their difficulties from others.

At LiveWest we value inclusivity, treating each other with respect and supporting each other. We shouldn’t have to leave parts of our identity behind, be that our cultural or ethnic background, gender identity, sexuality, disability or health, when we work.

This month we are supporting the My Whole Self Campaign, created by Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England.

My Whole Self is the campaign for workplace culture change, calling on organisations to empower employees to bring their whole self to work and support their own and other’s wellbeing.

We want to drive a positive transformation in workplace mental health and performance through bringing together diversity and inclusion with health and wellbeing.

To support the My Whole Self Campaign and to connect with each other, we are encouraging our colleagues to share a selfie on our Yammer Community and let us know how they’re “their whole self”.

We have also recently recruited new Wellbeing Champions from across the business, with a focus on increasing male engagement in wellbeing activities, by recruiting additional men to the campaign to offer further support.
