Storm Ciaran weather warning

There is an amber weather warning in place from from Wednesday 1 November throughout the South West
LiveWest logo.

A weather warning has been issued by the Met Office this week for parts of the country, including the South West. 

With high winds and heavy rain expected from Wednesday night (1 November) into the day on Thursday (2 November), there is potential for disruption, including power cuts and damage to homes from debris.

Power cuts

High winds can lead to power cuts. The National Grid have planning in place ahead of the storm, however you should:

Flooding

Heavy rain could lead to flooding. You can check the status of flood warnings using the Government website, which provides advice on what you should do to prepare.
