The health and wellbeing of our customers, our colleagues and our contractors is our number one priority and we are continuing to provide help and support through these difficult times.
We are a member of the National Housing Federation (NHF) which is the voice of almost 800 housing association members across the country with a vision for everyone to live in a good quality home that people can afford.
We fully support today’s statement released by the NHF which talks about the help and support that we will provide throughout these challenging times.
The NHF statement in full is:
Housing associations are not-for-profit landlords to more than six million people. They are working closely with residents, local government, the NHS and others to respond to the coronavirus crisis. They are keeping customers safe and supported in their homes, keeping vital services running, and helping communities to respond.
We know that many customers will be worried about their income. So during this crisis housing associations are committed to:
- keeping people secure at home. No one will be evicted from a housing association home as a result of financial hardship caused by coronavirus.
- helping people to get the support they need. Housing associations are helping customers to access benefits and other support to alleviate financial hardship.
- acting compassionately and quickly where people are struggling. Housing associations are working with customers to understand how they can help them. This can include flexibility on collecting rent where that would make a difference. Any customer who is worried about paying their rent should contact their housing association, who will want to help.
If you have any concerns please contact us and our Customer Service team will be happy to help.
