The submission centres on the work which has gone into shaping our new youth offer.
We were asked by judges to talk in detail about how we have used an engagement approach to create our service, using methods such as days out, skills workshops or more formal opportunities.
The category also prompted us to outline the creative ideas we used as part of the new service, while also highlighting how we have responded to the diverse needs of service users to ensure inclusivity and accessibility.
Our entry included case studies demonstrating how we have made a difference in people’s lives together with a glowing testimony from Torbay Council.
Our Young Person Service Development Manager, Jenny Endean, is delighted we have been shortlisted after LiveWest made a commitment to prioritise services for young people in our 2016-20 Housing Support Strategy.
Jenny said: “We are both excited and thrilled to be shortlisted for a TPAS Award as we are proud of our youth offer which has been co-produced with young people.
“It has been a privilege working with so many talented young people and staff to create a new service offer that will change the way we work with young people and offer real opportunities for them.
“Young people are at the heart of everything we seek to do and to be recognised for this is great testament to LiveWest’s commitment to young people.”
The awards ceremony will take place at the Principal Hotel, Manchester, on March 29.
We are up against Estuary Housing Association, ForViva, Community Gateway Housing, Derby Homes, Peabody, emh Care & Support, Stockport Homes Group and SW9 Community Housing.
