1. When will I know it is safe to go back to my home?
We are carrying out structural surveys to all LiveWest properties affected so that we can determine that the homes are considered safe for residents to move back into their properties.
2. Where can I stay if I can’t return to my home?
We are providing alternative accommodation and support for all LiveWest customers who have been evacuated from their homes. If you have been directly affected, you can phone us on 0300 123 8080 and email our team at exeterevacuation@livewest.co.uk.
3. What should I do if my property has suffered damage?
If you rent a property from LiveWest we have insurance in place to resolve any damage to the structure of your home. This does not cover you for any damage to your contents, for example furniture. If you are struggling financially, please contact us on 0300 123 8080 or email our team at exeterevacuation@livewest.co.uk.
If you own your home, as a leaseholder or as a shared owner, the buildings insurance cover we provide is individual to your property. To give you peace of mind, our policy covers for these types of events and we have contacted our insurers Zurich. We will be paying the excess as the result of making a claim so please don’t be concerned about this. If you have contents insurance, please contact your insurer as soon as you can.
4. Are the contents in my home covered by insurance?
If you have contents insurance, please contact your insurer as soon as you can. You are responsible for the contents of your home. If you are struggling financially, please contact us on 0300 123 8080 or email our team at exeterevacuation@livewest.co.uk.

If we can repair your home this will be done by either our team of skilled operatives or by our contractors.
6. Will I have to pay for my home to be repaired?
All building work will be paid for by LiveWest. You are responsible for the contents of your home. If you have contents insurance, please contact your insurer as soon as you can. If you are struggling financially, please contact us on 0300 123 8080 or email our team at exeterevacuation@livewest.co.uk.
7. What should I do if I don’t have all my medications?
You should contact your usual GP in-hours or phone NHS 111 out of hours.
