LiveWest shortlisted for prestigious housing award

06 February 2019

We’ve been announced as a finalist in the UK Housing Awards 2019, having been nominated for DLO (Direct Labour Organisation) of the year.

The UK Housing Awards pride themselves for being the biggest and best accolade in the housing sector.

Our submission centres around our property services’ IMS works, repairs and servicing incorporating all types of work ranging through gas, electrical, carpentry, plumbing and wet trades – all with a view to ensuring our customers are happy.

We currently have 210 fully qualified operatives and four apprentices and complete around  80,000 D2D works as well as regular compliance checks, including gas, smoke detectors, CO alarms, and electrical testing all completed by our skilled and customer focused Internal Maintenance Service team.

Annually we install 1,100 new kitchens and 550 bathrooms to maintain homes we can be proud of.

LiveWest also returned 2,600 void properties for completing across our general need properties, supported and sheltered schemes by our own dedicated teams, allowing anyone eligible a new start in life in a LiveWest home.

LiveWest Executive Director of Property Services (Operations) Doug Stein said: “I am delighted that we have been shortlisted for the biggest and best awards in the sector.

“This recognition is a testament to the hard work of all our property services staff who are on the frontline for LiveWest, helping to maintain homes and give our customers a great service.

“Keep your fingers crossed for us at the ceremony in May.”
