Customers in Cranbrook catch the cycling bug ahead of the Tour of Britain

20 August 2018

On 16 August, our teams were out in Cranbrook, Devon hosting bike trade-ins, in preparation for when Stage 2 of the Tour of Britain 2018 commences in Cranbrook on Monday 3 September.

Lesley Browne, LiveWest Community Development Worker said: ‘’There was a great turn out from our customers in Cranbrook at the cycling trade in event. Working with Ride on Cycling we were able to provide 10 Adult bikes and 10 children's bikes at a bargain price of £5 each, or even free when a bike was traded in. Cycling confidence sessions were also available to visitors, as were safety checks for everyone who brought a bike along. It was great to hear so many lovely stories from customers about how the bikes would make a difference to their lives, whether this was improving their health and fitness, giving them other transport options or saving them money.’’
